How Umrah Go works
Tell us when you can go. We price every sensible combination of flights, hotels in Madinah and Makkah and the Haramain train, and show you the cheapest whole trips.
What we do
For each search we try every departure date in your window, every UK airport you picked, both route orders (Madinah first or Makkah first) and the hotels in each city. Each trip is priced as a whole: flights with bags, both hotels, the train between the cities, the Saudi eVisa and airport taxis.
Then we rank them three ways: best value (price balanced against how far the hotels are from the mosque), cheapest, and closest to the Haram.
You book directly, we never take your money
Umrah Go is a comparison site, not a travel agent. When you choose a trip, we link you to each booking site with your dates filled in: Aviasales for flights, Booking.com for hotels, the official Haramain railway site for the train and the official Visit Saudi site for the visa. You pay them, not us, and your booking is with them.
How we make money
Some links are affiliate links. If you book through them, the booking site pays us a small commission. It never changes the price you pay, and it doesn't decide which trips we show first.
Where our prices come from
- Flights: real fares that travellers found in recent searches, refreshed every night. Each flight shows when we saw its price. Where we haven't seen a recent fare, we show a typical price, labelled as such.
- Hotels: estimates based on typical prices for each hotel and season. You see the live price on Booking.com before you pay.
- Train, visa and taxis: approximate costs, so the total covers the whole trip.
Prices move, so always check the final price on each booking site before paying. Every price on Umrah Go is marked "about" for that reason.
Hotel distances
We measure the straight-line distance from each hotel to the edge of Masjid al-Haram or Masjid an-Nabawi, using hotel and mosque positions from OpenStreetMap. The actual walk is usually a little longer. A few hotels we couldn't place yet show an estimate, marked "About".
Ramadan and Hajj season
Prices rise in Ramadan, especially the last ten nights, and in school holidays, and we mark those trips. Umrah visas are usually paused around Hajj, so we leave those dates out. Islamic dates are estimates and can move by a day or two.
